The awards banquet was held on Tuesday, August 21 at The Zone at Williams-Brice Stadium and was presented by co-sponsors eGroup and IT-oLogy.

The Palmetto Pillar Awards are held annually to honor the best and brightest of the Midlands technology community. The Pillar of Leadership in Technology is given to a chief information officer, chief technology officer, or other technology executive who has demonstrated vision, leadership, and support of technology initiatives.

Terry was chosen for this award based on his 35-year record of accomplishment in the technology industry. He has driven the use of technology and indentified future technology needs in the insurance and healthcare sectors and is committed to the continued growth of the technology community in the Midlands. Under Terry’s leadership, TM Floyd & Company led initiatives that developed into ITS-SC and the Palmetto Open Source Software Conference (POSSCON) and played a major role in locating IT-oLogy at 1301 Gervais in downtown Columbia.

Congratulations from TM Floyd & Company to all of the Palmetto Pillar winners and finalists.
